Sara Crispino, L.Ac owner/operator

My name is Sara Crispino and I am a passionate healer, a trauma survivor, and an accomplished scholar. Reaching my lowest point taught me many things about resiliency, compassion for thyself, and what it means to act in this world from a place of love.

It’s often during the most challenging times of our lives that we are able to discern what we truly desire and need. The emotional experience of being in such a place ultimately shows us who we are, myself included. From this perspective, it’s true that our emotions are some of our greatest guides as we sort through how to become well.

As I explored the nuances of my feelings I began to understand what intuition was, and how to turn mine into a tool to protect and better my mind and body. I believe that the more we know about ourselves, the easier it is to find a long-lasting balance in our lives.

Acupuncture has so much to offer in this regard as the theory highlights emotional connections to several pathological processes of the body. While in the clinic room, I feel it’s important to discuss such connections in order to help you to become more aware of your body’s needs and better able to respond.

Now, it’s true that emotions aren’t the whole story. Many times, there are other pathologies in the way; pain patterns or viruses that need to be quelled in order for us to feel better. Luckily, the two perspectives aren’t mutually exclusive! By working on one, we end up working on the other.

my philosophy

Our experience of the world encompasses more than just how we feel about it, the pain we experience, the lack of sleep, the history of illness or what have you…it’s all about the interrelation. Chinese medicine makes these connections clear and therefore helps us get to know our conditions, and ourselves, much more. It’s along this path that we begin to understand how to optimize our health.

Life is a series of ebbs and flows, but one thing that begs for consistency is self-care, self-love and an exemplary state of physical and mental health. I’m committed to providing a place of safety for you and your loved one to heal and be heard, and it would be my honor to support you to the best of my ability.

"Sara is an incredible healer, she approaches treatments with empathy, expertise, and well thought out plans. I had no idea how effective this treatment was, [I feel] the best I’ve felt in a long time. Regular sessions are a very wise investment in yourself, from my experience. Highly recommend! Thank you Sara!”
